Choir Alberta members have access to a lending library of over 5,000 choral titles. Multiple copies of a vast range of works are available in a variety of voicings and styles – classics to commissions, sacred and secular, jazz, pop and much more.

Active Choir Alberta members may access the lending library. Choir/Institution and Conductor/Educator memberships include the privilege of borrowing multiple copies; Chorister/Adult and Chorister/Student memberships include only single-copy borrowing privileges.

All titles are housed in the Choir Alberta office in Edmonton and may be viewed during regular office hours.

Single-copy binders are catalogued according to style and voicing for easy browsing. A keyboard with headphones is available in the library.

The entire library can also be viewed online. You can search for titles by using keywords or browse by composer or title.

Simply call or email the office with your order and the scores will be mailed to you.

A nominal fee is charged per title borrowed, for any number of multiple copies. This fee helps offset the cost of replacing worn and damaged music.

Scores 1-10 pages $10
Scores 11-20 pages $20
Scores over 21 pages $40

Single copies are available for loan at no cost to active Choir Alberta members. For the purposes of reading sessions, a nominal fee may be assessed.  The lending period for this type of loan shall not exceed three weeks.

A combined shipping and handling fee through FedEx is added to each order. To avoid extra shipping charges please indicate any recent changes to your address on your library request.

It is the responsibility of the member to ensure the return of all borrowed scores to the Choir Alberta office.  All return shipping charges are the responsibility of the borrower. Unless otherwise requested, all borrowed scores shall be due on or before June 30 of each year. Returned scores marked with ink or in poor condition shall be subject to a minimum replacement fee of $3.50 per octavo.

Music not returned within 90 days of its due date shall be subject to a late fee of $10 per title. Music not returned within 6 months of its due date shall be subject to a minimum replacement cost of $3.50 per octavo.
